In the UROC Gallery through September 12: Red Rice, Schools & Hope

UROC Gallery Photo

"Red Rice, Schools & Hope" takes a behind-the-scenes look at the work of Twin Cities-based non-profit, the Sierra Leone Fund for New Democracy (SLFND). Founder Hindolo Pokawa shares photographs and stories of his work to build the first rural preschools in Mondama, Sierra Leone and to develop strategies to help the whole village thrive. Photograph and greeting cards sales from the exhibit will benefit SLFND.

This exhibit is a collaborative effort of the Robert J. Jones Urban Research and Outreach-Engagement Center, SLFND, and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Exhibit runs through September 12, 2017
Opening reception: Noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017
