Mind on the Matter: The New UROC Brain Health Fair Mixes Science and Fun for All

The UROC Brain Health Fair brings community members, families, researchers, and practitioners together to explore the human brain and brain related topics. This free, interactive event features hands-on activities, practical resources, and conversations focused on healthy aging and keeping the mind sharp at any age; child development and supporting young brains as they grow and thrive; healing from trauma and building resilience; managing stress through practical tools for a busy world; understanding pain and the brain’s role in healing; and breaking addiction through the science of recovery and hope. Central to the fair is community-led research, emphasizing shared leadership and ensuring community priorities drive brain health research, knowledge production, and real-world impact. Hosted by the Robert J. Jones Urban Research and Outreach-Engagement Center in partnership with Shen Neurolaw Lab, the University of Minnesota Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain, the University of Minnesota Medical Discovery Team on Addiction, the University of Minnesota Center for Healthy Aging and Innovation, and community organizations, the fair highlights community-engaged research and accessible strategies that support brain health and well-being for everyone.
Free food and refreshments provided. All ages are welcome to attend.
