Work of art by high school students from Minnesota's Fifth Congressional District who participated in the national Congressional Arts Competition will be on display in the UROC gallery Wednesday, April 15 through Tuesday, April 28.

The national competition has been held since 1982, selecting visual art from every U.S. House district for display in the U.S. Capitol for a year. The theme for this year’s Fifth District competition is Home Is Where the Heart Is. The competition is open to students in grades 9 through 12. A public reception hosted by U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar in honor of the artists and their families will take place on Thursday, April 23, 6 - 7pm at UROC.
