U of M's Solar-powered Race Car to visit UROC—3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 16

Get up close to the University's EOS II —a super sleek, solar powered race car designed by University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering students. Also on hand will be University Professor Sam Mukasa, special assistant for STEM initiatives in the University’s Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, to talk with visitors about the University's Solar Vehicle Project and solar race car. “I hope that parents and their kids will use this opportunity to share in the excitement of some of the University's science and engineering research designed to tackle humanity's greatest challenges," says Mukasa. "I especially look forward to seeing our Solar Vehicle Team demonstrating how solar energy can be used for transportation—in this case, in a sleek race car!” The event is part of UROC's Neighborhood U series and is free and open to the public.
