She Inspires Me

Female artists of all ages and skills share portraits and narratives of the women and girls they admire most in the world. Based on an idea by former Split Rock Arts Program Director Andrea "Andy" Gilats and curated by UROC Gallery Curator Hawona Sullivan Janzen, "She Inspires Me" is meant to delight, inspire, and illuminate what it means to be a woman and a role model in contemporary society.

The Moving Walls of Minneapolis

Art is My Weapon founder Nikki McComb uses data exploring evictions in North Minneapolis as the guide for "The Moving Walls of Minneapolis." Part installation, part visual story, this exhibit, produced in partnership with the University of Minnesota Center for Urban and Regional Affairs, brings a deeply personal local perspective to our country’s affordable housing crisis.

In the UROC Gallery- "Bridges: We Are Stronger Together"

Twin Cities artist Tricia Schweitzer spends a lot of time driving across bridges. One day, she stopped just long enough to think about how many people have been 'bridges' to her. How could she tell them how thankful she is for their efforts? She decided to make a list and ask each of them if she could paint their portrait. "Bridges: We Are Stronger Together" combines those portraits with Schweitzer's striking paintings of area bridges to remind us of how human connection makes us stronger.

The market includes victims of sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.
